Brian K. Wood, P.E.
In October of 2005, the PAIKY Board of Directors named Brian K. Wood as Executive Director of the Association. Brian joined the PAIKY staff in 2000 as the Assistant Director/Engineer in order to assist Dean with association activities. Specifically, Brian is involved in technical issues facing the industry and is spending time trying to promote and educate users and specifiers of our product. He is actively involved in the Life Cycle Cost Committee as well as planning for the annual Winter Training School. Brian has been involved in the development of several presentations geared for architects, engineers, city and county employees involved in asphalt design and construction. His responsibilities also include serving as an advisor to various association committees including the technical committee, the Kentucky Asphalt Pavement Alliance, and the Environmental and Safety committee. Brian’s talents coupled with his solid computer skills greatly expand the services PAIKY provides to members and asphalt users.
In December 2018, the Plantmix Asphalt Industry of Kentucky brought on Erin Gibbs as the Marketing Director. Erin is responsible for developing and expanding PAIKY’s marketing strategies, public relations, and assisting with meeting planning. She is also responsible for promoting asphalt to the Transportation Cabinet, the Kentucky General Assembly, City and County officials, architects, and engineers. Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts in dance, with a minor in Performing Arts Administration, from Western Kentucky University. After graduation, Erin moved to Washington, DC to pursue her professional dance career. She danced with 2 companies, a Jazz & a Modern company, and was a live-in nanny! When the Bluegrass called her home, she found that her varied skill set opened the door for many opportunities. Before joining PAIKY, Erin worked with the Kentucky Magistrates & Commissioners Association, Franklin County Schools Payroll Department, and the KY Cabinet for Economic Development.
In 1987, Cherie left her position with State National Bank and became the Office Manager for the Plantmix Asphalt Industry of Kentucky. Cherie’s responsibilities within the office include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general oversight of office related issues. She plays an integral role in organizing and preparing for various meetings sponsored by the association and the annual Winter Training School. She spends a considerable amount of her time obtaining information from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and using this data for billing and tracking purposes. Cherie’s involvement and experience within the association makes her an asset to the industry.
